I’m Sandra and this is my online portfolio.

I studied at the School of Arts and Design (Caldas da Rainha, Portugal), and specialized in the area of Cultural Programming and Production.

Through the mediation of cultural projects, my main goal is to develop a work of contemporary curatorial practices.

Production & Production Assistance

Teatro do Silêncio, Lisbon

I finished my degree with an internship at Teatro do Silêncio, where I took part in various projects as a producer and production assistant, while also providing support in organizing the association's archive, legalization, logistics and budgets.

Although the name suggests a theatre association, I also had the opportunity to work on installations, concerts, workshops, artist residencies, launch of publications and other transdisciplinary projects.

Curatorship, Programming & Production

ESAD.cr

During my degree, I developed my first curatorial, programming and production projects, as well as some core skills like: the Laws and Economics of Culture, Project Funding, Contemporary Curatorial Practices, Event Design, Museology and Curatorship, Production, Sociology of the Arts, Project Management and Evaluation Instruments, Artistic and Cultural Programming and Communication Design.

The mindfulness and sensitivity required to handle art and, to be able to showcase it in a way that motivates reflexion, also becomes an art-form that I’m very passionate about.

While my experience in curatorship is reduced compared to my experience in producing, what really drives me is the possibility of building a discourse in which a body of work is presented as a whole, as a piece of art.
